Free Meditation Techniques
There are many different kinds of meditation, serving several different purposes. Some techniques focus on breathing, some on the repetition of a word or phrase, and some ask the practitioner to focus on something visual, such as a candle flame or a part of the body, such as the diaphragm or chakras. Many Eastern practices have a spiritual purpose and are intended to bring the practitioner closer to the Divine. Some are intended to improve one's health, particularly through the reduction of stress and negative emotions.
Roy Masters offers a different type of meditation. Though it uses some of the same techniques and has some of the same purposes as others, such as reducing stress, Masters' "Be Still and Know" technique is fundamentally different. Most other techniques are really exercises in self-hypnosis. By concentrating solely on the breath or a mantra, one reduces stress by burying it under an induced layer of calm.
Masters wants you to observe that stress, without resentment or judgment, rather than repressing or denying it. Everyone suffers pain and injustice, leading to stress and anger. Those negative emotions can turn inward to cause depression and illness if not dealt with. Masters' technique allows you to deal with them rather than hide them.
Masters offers his technique to anyone who needs it without cost. You can download it from the website at absolutely no charge. You can also purchase audio tapes or CDs for a nominal fee. Try it for just 20 minutes a day, and you can change your life!
